Helen Willetts is known as a British meteorologist. She is most famous for her work at BBC.
Helen Sarah Willetts was born on February 10, 1972, in Chester, England. Her family is originally from Long Island in New York. Willetts studied Physics at the University of Nottingham. After her college graduation finished with a degree in Physics, Helen Willetts enrolled in a training course for forecasting which she completed in 1997. She was accompanied in training by Paul Hudson and Liz Bentley who she would end up working with at BBC.
Willetts used to be a professional badminton player for Wales. She played before joining the Met Office College in February 1994 as a weather forecaster trainee. During her training, she used to enjoy tennis with her fellow colleagues John Hammond, the current chief of the Met Office, and Paul Hudson, the regional presenter.
Willetts is married to Philip Boulby. Their marriage started 2004 with a ceremony held at Colwyn Bay. Their long marriage has resulted in the births of two children. Their firstborn child came into the world in the same year of the marriage. Their second child was born four years later in 2008.
While she was pregnant, Willetts went viral on the internet for doing a weather forecast while showing her huge pregnant belly. The segment on Dead Ringers is one example of how far Willetts’ personality reaches in the UK area. There was also a technical glitch that occurred during a 2015 telecast. The error made the audience believe that there were two Helens or Helen’s sister but it actually just a technical error.
In her spare time, Willetts still enjoys playing badminton but she also loves walking and cycling. She has been fortunate to make enough money to fund her hobby of traveling. She enjoys exploring new places with her loving family. Willetts chooses to use her money to give her family new experiences and knowledge by visiting foreign places.
