Ivana Miličević was born on April 26, 1974, in Sarajevo, SFR Yugoslavia (now Bosnia and Herzegovina), to parents Damir and Tonka Miličević. Her family immigrated to the United States when she was five years old, settling in Detroit, Michigan, where she was raised. Ivana has two younger brothers: Tomo Miličević, former lead guitarist for the rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars, and Filip Miličević, an executive at AT&T.
Ivana attended Athens High School in Troy, Michigan, where her striking appearance caught the attention of Milan Modeling Agency. She began working as a fashion model while still in high school. After graduating in 1992, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting.
Upon arriving in Los Angeles, Ivana initially struggled to find acting roles. To stay connected to the entertainment industry, she returned to modeling but also explored comedy, performing stand-up routines in local venues. Her charm and stage presence won her a growing audience, helping to bridge her path toward acting opportunities.
In 1996, Ivana landed a minor role in the film Jerry Maguire, playing one of Jerry's (Tom Cruise) former girlfriends. That same period, her comedic performances gained traction and led to her being cast as Patty in an episode of Seinfeld, which brought her wider recognition. In 1998, she appeared in a supporting role in the thriller Enemy of the State, further establishing her presence in Hollywood.
Thanks to her distinctive presence and versatility, Ivana secured roles in numerous television shows and films during the late 1990s, including Unhappily Ever After, The Nanny, House Rules, The Army Show, Kiss the Sky, October 22, Postmortem, and Love Stinks. She also had an uncredited role in the supernatural horror film House on Haunted Hill.
In 2001, Ivana showcased her comedic abilities in the romantic comedy Head Over Heels, portraying a Russian model. She continued to appear in small but memorable roles in films such as Vanilla Sky and Impostor, and on television shows including Felicity, Nash Bridges, and Secret Agent Man.
She gained more prominence with a recurring role in the series The Mind of the Married Man, and in 2006, she displayed a new range of her acting abilities by playing Milla Yugorsky in the crime drama Running Scared. That same year, she joined the cast of Love Monkey in a recurring role and achieved international recognition as Valenka, a Bond girl, in the James Bond film Casino Royale.
Following her role in Casino Royale, Ivana appeared in the ensemble drama Battle in Seattle and the comedy Witless Protection. Her diverse acting portfolio includes guest and recurring roles in numerous television series such as Buzzkill, Yes, Dear, Friends, Chuck, CSI: Miami, House M.D., Ugly Betty, Fallen, Eleventh Hour, Hawaii Five-0, American Dad!, Pushing Daisies, Psych, and Vegas.
Ivana starred as Carrie Hopewell in the Cinemax drama series Banshee, one of her most acclaimed roles, which further showcased her dramatic talent. In addition to her on-screen work, she voiced the character Dasha Fedorovich, a Russian intelligence officer, in the video games Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 and its expansion, Uprising.
Ivana previously dated Adrian Hunter; their relationship lasted for two years before they separated in 2009. As of recent estimates, her net worth is approximately $7 million, largely attributed to her steady work in film, television, and video games.
