He liked the feedback that he got from his peers for his musical abilities. He would not live a life like a normal kid because he would end up on a TV show while he was still attending school. He did not mind the pressure though because he felt that he was born to be a performer.
JC’s first time on a stage was when he took a twenty dollar bet that he would be brave enough to participate in a talent show. He began to start falling in love with performing after that talent show appearance. His mother noticed an ad in the Washington Post. The ad would be the spark that jump started JC’s career. It was 1989 when JC’s mom, Karen Chasez found out that they holding casting tryouts for a show called The Mickey Mouse Club. It was a kids show produced by Walt Disney and it aired exclusively on the Disney Channel. The show was a variety show that had multiple kids acting out skits. They weren’t just a Saturday Night Live for the younger generation though. They also liked to integrate singing and dancing performances by the cast members. The show was a perfect fit for JC who loved to dance and sing.
He was chosen as part of the cast and during the show’s fourth season and he remained a cast member until the show ended in 1995. The show was cancelled because the cast members were getting too old. The popular cast members outgrowing their roles and it was time for them to move on. The show did a bad job at developing new stars so that had no choice but to cancel the show once the top stars were set to leave.
JC had a memorable moment when performed a popular song called Right Here Waiting by Richard Marx. The song was a huge hit at the time because of its lyrics. The song was about being so in love with someone that you would wait for years for them because deep inside you knew that was your true love. JC’s performance of the song really allowed him to showcase his singing abilities. He had an impressive voice for a young man and it was a sign that he was going to become a great singer as he grew up. His musical career when he formed a boy band called in NSYNC in 1995. Along with Justin Timberlake, he was one of the lead singers because of his strong voice. They got international recognition after they were very well received by fans in Europe during a 1996 tour. Two years after their success in Europe they released their first album which sold eleven million copies. Thanks to their huge success in sales, the band became a very popular band in the United States.

They were mega stars among the young female audience. They came around at a time when boy bands were very popular in the United States. They competed with other boy bands like the Backstreet Boys and 98 Degrees. They ended up being the most popular boy band because the lead singer Justin Timberlake was beloved by young women.
