Jill Nicolini, born on January 10, 1978, in Farmingville, New York, is a broadcast journalist and former model and actress. She attended Sachem South High School before enrolling at Stony Brook University for one year. Nicolini later transferred to Suffolk County Community College, where she earned an Associate's degree in Television and Radio Broadcasting in 2000. She continued her education at the New York Institute of Technology, receiving a Bachelor's degree in Communication Arts.
Nicolini began her broadcasting career at WBLI Radio in Long Island. She then worked as a reporter for LI News Tonight and served as the arena announcer for the New York Islanders. She also worked as a dancer for the New York Dragons, an Arena Football Team. Her career progressed with roles as a traffic reporter on both the Metro Traffic and Weather Channel in Long Island and News 12 Long Island.
In 2011, she started working with WNYW Fox 5 in New York as an entertainment reporter on the morning show Good Day New York. Nicolini has also been featured as an entertainment and traffic host on The PIX-11 Morning News, further solidifying her presence in New York media.
Before establishing her broadcasting career, Nicolini worked as a model. In 2001, she auditioned to become the official live-action model for Vampirella but was not selected. She also held minor acting roles in television series including NBC's Law & Order and HBO’s Sex and the City.
In 2003, Nicolini participated in the Fox reality television show Married by America, where she was selected as the winner. However, she ultimately did not marry following the show's conclusion.
In 2002, at age 24, Nicolini won the Miss Long Island title. However, controversy followed when it was revealed she had posed for Playboy magazine in 2001. As a result, she relinquished her crown, stating she did not wish to represent an organization that did not support or believe in her past decisions.
Throughout her career, Nicolini has received multiple honors. These include three Emmy Award nominations and accolades from various organizations, such as the Professional Broadcast Association of New Jersey, the John Theissen Children's Foundation, the Italian American Police Society, the Suffolk Community College Broadcasters Association, Autism Speaks, and the National Council of Columbia Associations of Civil Service. Her work in broadcast journalism and her community involvement have earned her significant recognition.
