Khabib Nurmagomedov is known as a Russian professional mixed martial artist. He is most famous for being the UFC Lightweight Champion.
Khabib Abdulmanapovich Nurmagomedov was born on September 20, 1988 in Sil'di, Russia. After some time, he moved with his folks to the state capital Makhachkala and later to Kirovaul, where his father changed over the ground floor of their two-story to include an exercise center. Students would come there to prepare and it was from that point that his enthusiasm for martial arts started. The family later moved to Kiev, Ukraine when he was more established and he started preparing as a Combat Dobro.
In his family, Khabib Nurmagomedov was raised nearby his senior sibling named Magomed and a more youthful sister named Amina. They were raised as Muslims. He started wrestling at 6 years old coached by his father Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, a Judo and Sambo champion and a military veteran. He changed to Judo by 15 and started preparing in battle Sambo by 17 as his father needed him to contend in a gi. True to form, Khabib frequently engaged in street fights before choosing to channel his vitality into mixed martial arts.
Khabib Nurmagomedov joined the UFC in late 2011 with a 6 battle deal to contend in the UFC lightweight division. Following this, he made his debut presentation on January 20, 2012, at UFC on FX 1 with a triumph over Kamal Shalorus. Khabib turned into the UFC Lightweight Champion on April 7, 2018, after his triumph over Al Iaquinta. His championship battle against Iaquinta was an uneven one as he dominated the fight easily. He then defended his belt against MMA Superstar Conor McGregor. After a heated build up to the fight, Khabib ended up choking the loud mouth Irishman which led to a post fight brawl between both camps.
In September 2019, Khabib defended his Lightweight title against challenger, Dustin Poirier at UFC 242. He won the match with a rear naked choke submission.
Khabib Nurmagomedov is settled with a spouse and two children. He is the father of a girl and a son. He married his significant other in June 2013. Tey had their first tyke, an infant young lady on the first of June 2015 and after two years on December 30, 2017, the introduction of her more youthful sibling and their subsequent kid pursued on the night he vanquished Edson Barboza in a UFC fight.
