Kristin Tate is an American libertarian columnist, political commentator, and author who was born in New York City but grew up in New Hampshire. Tate went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts where she was the Chapter leader for Young Americans for Liberty. She has gone on to have a successful career as a writer based in New York City. She began her writing career as a journalist at Breitbart news network in Texas.
She currently has a regular column that focuses on government waste in The Hill Newspaper and often appears on Fox News, CNN, and MSNBC. Tate is also an author and wrote her first book "Government Gone Wild" which was published by Hachette Book Group. Her most recent book is called "How Do I Tax Thee?: A Field Guide to the Great American Rip-Off" which was published by St. Martin's Press in March 2018. Tate also works as an analyst for Capitalism.com. Her opinions are also regularly featured in media outlets including National Review, The Washington Examiner, The Washington Times, The Daily Caller, and PBS. Tate also currently serves on the Executive Board of the College Conservative, a platform for conservative journalists.
