Kyle Griffin is an American television producer born on July 10, 1986, to Janice L. Griffin, a preschool teacher, and Harry P. Griffin, a media marketing consultant. He was raised in New York and attended The College of Saint Rose in Albany, where he majored in English. Griffin later earned a master’s degree in strategic public relations from George Washington University.
Griffin began his media career at WNYT, a local news station in Albany, New York, working as an assistant producer from 2006 to 2008. He later joined NBC News as an associate producer, where his responsibilities included conducting research, writing segments, and copyediting content for news programming.
In 2009, Griffin joined MSNBC, where he produced daily segments for programs hosted by Reverend Al Sharpton. His role involved coordinating with editorial staff and managing segment development for air, contributing to the network's daily news programming.
In 2012, Griffin moved to Australia and began working for Yahoo, where he served as an associate producer and contributed to web content and digital media services. He later became a freelance producer for Seven Network in Sydney. His work there led to a full-time position, and he remained with the company for two years.
While at Seven Network, Griffin was promoted to senior producer. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing the production of news stories for the current affairs program Today Tonight. His contributions were instrumental in managing editorial direction and producing in-depth news features.
