Lori was born into a middle class family on the 9th of December, 1969. Her father was a sales person and her mother was a psychologist and she was raised with her elder sister in the family house in Near North Side, Chicago. Having had a rocky childhood, she felt unsettled when her parents divorced in 1977, when she was only 8 years of age. Wanting to become a TV face from an early age, she had interest in marketing, communications and journalism. A very bright and active student of her class, she later attended the Loyola University in Chicago, whereas worked part time for Chicago Tribune. She used to design jewelry as well as some other decorating products and household stuffs on her own. With a concept to create unique items and tools to attract people, she had this idea of working out on her own business.
Her creativity started out from the time, when she’d take small money loans from her friends, and designed some ear ring boxes for starters. Her sample product was bought and marketed by J.C. Penney, a company that uplifts younger talents in designing and creativity. She also designed ear rings that were sold at large and made her famous and rich in a very short time. It was then that she realized that she should be working for herself and should start her own marketing campaign as other companies would charge more money. With shows like Clever & Unique Creations by Lori Greiner, she became the queen of QVC and her fame rose to new heights. She became more famous after playing a role in the hit TV show Shark Tank. Via the show, she made a business investment in a company named Scrub Daddy, which has proved to be fruitful. With only sponge products to sell, she sold it well over 2 million items within 18 months. Her success stories and partly, her life and struggles have been brought together in her book named “Invent it, Sell it, Bank it! – Make Your Million Dollar Idea into a Reality”. This book was released in the March of 2014, and has been in the third position of the Wall Street Journal's Best Seller List.
