Mike Galanos is known as an American news anchor. He is most famous for his work for CNN and HLN.
Mike Galanos was born on November 07, 1974, in California. Galanos completed his graduate studies at San Francisco State University where he graduated summa cum laude and was very interested in establishing a journalism career for himself.
Mike Galanos is married and has two sons with his wife, Cheryl Galanos that are named David Galanos and Daniel Galanos. Both boys attended and graduated from North Cobb Christian School. Galanos loves to spend his off air time with his family. Mike is known to be very protective of his children and tries to keep them away from the media spotlight.
Mike Galanos started his broadcasting career doing local media when he began working for the radio station KJOY which was located in Stockton California. Mike covered sports and current events. Galanos ventured into on-air television reporting in the year 1991, when he started working for KTVN-TV as the local sports anchor. Mike was popular in part for his profound knowledge of the local sports and teams in the northern Nevada region.
Galanos began his career with CNN when he worked for a brief period as a cameraman, a video journalist, and a teleprompter. His work at CNN was for the show known as Headline News with the hosts Bobbie Battista and Don Harrison. Galason later worked at CNN SI as a sports reporter. Mike Galason started working for HLN in the spring of the year 2002. At this time Mike played a key role in HLN’s coverage of the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. After leaving Reno, he moved up the ranks to CNN Sports Illustrated anchor but now he is at CNN Headline News as a general assignment news anchor for the network. He was behind the launch of the show ‘Prime News Tonight’ in the year 2004 and was the anchor for the segment ‘Get to the Point’.

He formerly co-anchored Prime News with Erica Hill until Hill was named the sole anchor in 2010. After Hill was reassigned to CNN’s program Anderson Cooper 360 in early 2008, Galanos returned to the program as her replacement. Mike Galanos ended his stint as the host of "Prime News" when his last date on the air was August 13, 2010. This was announced via the Prime News Facebook account owned by Galanos. Former Prosecutor and host of TruTV's In Session, Vinnie Politan took over his position on Prime News.
Critics of his feel Galanos frequently don't follow journalistic rules while presenting the news as during his reports, he often expresses his opinion on the topics and on other people's views of those topics.
