Nessa Diab is a famous television and radio personality. She was born on May 6, 1981 in Southern California and was raised as a Muslim by her Egyptian father while her mother was of Middle Eastern descent. She has two other siblings, both are brothers. Her father’s job caused the family to move to Saudi Arabia when she happened to be very young. They travelled frequently in and out of California at this time. She was born at a time when the Middle East was involved in Gulf War. Thus, Nessa, since an early age, had a first-hand experience of the war and the tragedies that resulted out of it. Nessa often wore gas masks to school and war sirens, casualties, ongoing battlefields and death was the environment that Nessa grew up in. It was because of this that she wanted to break out of the rough war torn country and move to the US. Nessa got the chance when she enrolled at the University of California, Berkeley for a degree in Mass Communication. She is for the most part, known for her craftsman image and additionally for her celeb interview on Youtube. She has done some of the hosting duties on a few shows that are on the MTV cable channel.
Nessa’ fate turned when she moved to the U.S. for a degree in Mass Communication. College did allowed her to break free from war related early years and come out as a superstar using her own ambition for success. She was a student at University of California, Berkeley, when she obtained a show on the WILD 94.9 KYLD radio station. In 2015, Diab was invited to the United Nation’s celebration of ‘Women’s History Month’ to talk about the status of women in media.
Diab pursued and finished her study at the California University, Berkeley. One of her projects there to graduate involved what she ended up doing for a living, which is performing for mass audiences. She had to develop a communication project in a creative and inventive way. She ended up designing and executing an idea she had since before she moved to the United States. She always wanted to educate, and she loved to talk and communicate with people, so she made a final project presented for one of her final projects that not only communicated the daily news topics, but did it in an engaging way. From here, she graduated with a degree of Bachelor's in Mass Communication. This all was achieved when Nessa was only twenty years old.
She concurrently an on-air personality in the two largest radio markets on the West Coast. Nessa then changed her home station from WILD 94.9 to ENERGY 92.7 in San Francisco but she returned to WILD 94.9 for station’s overnight show during weekdays. Nessa next got a weekday night show for 101.5 JAMZ in Phoenix, Arizona.
Moving through the radio ranks, her main gig on San Francisco’s Wild 94.4 primetime radio show was ‘Nessa’s Night Show’. The show proved to be the biggest advancement of her career overall. Her celebrity interviews helped her rise in fame on the San Francisco airwaves and also on YouTube. She was notice and MTV offered her the chance to host the popular TV show ‘Girl CodeM’.
Nessa’s career reached a peak in 2015 when she replaced previous host Angie Martinez on the drivetime slot on New York City’s iconic Hot97 radio station, thus becoming what they called ‘The Voice of New York’. As a jockey in one of the biggest and most influential hip hop stations in the world, Nessa’s popularity rose ten-folds. Currently, she also serves as the host of The Nessa Show on Hot 97, which airs on the radio station WQHT KMVQ. Besides her successful radio career, Nessa has also hosted the television shows, such as ‘Ain’t That America’, ‘iHeartRadio Music Festival’, ‘VH1 Big Morning Buzz’, ‘Teen Mom Aftershow’, and ‘Real Talk’.

Before her radio gigs, Nessa was was into composing music and remixing melodies since she was a young woman. One of her first tasks in the radio biz was and internship through her university with Clear Channel as a helper of the production team network, Coast Report. After that, she ending up getting opportunities to the previously mentioned markets on the West coast. Nessa at that point in time changed her domestic station from WILD 94.9 to Vitality 92.7 in San Francisco but she returned to WILD 94.9 for station’s overnight appear during the primetime during weekdays. Nessa also added a weekday night appearance for radio station 101.5 JAMZ that happened to be in Phoenix, Arizona.
Showing her side to be open to new horizons and new ideas, she consulted with friends and family about the whole incident and ended up on a multi-country vacation of sorts, to get away from the added drama and pressure. While doing so, she ended up creating a new foundation that help kids do exactly what she did when she was much younger. To strive for their dreams, Nessa felt many people overseas have little to no opportunity to grasp onto opportunity, not because they don’t have the ability, but because they don’t have the access to the opportunities.
She is in the process of creating and funding a method to help younger generations to strive for what they truly want and for funding or mentoring to be widely available. Nessa along with her previous manager during her first radio station job, has setup a new donation network that focuses on providing these opportunities. She has mentioned she feels she needs to give back to her community and has tried to more narrowly focus her goals in life to do related tasks. She has also guess starred on several reality tv shows, helping to host an episode for MTV 90’s House. In her personal life, there has been controversies that Nessa has had. She dated her boyfriend named Colin Kaepernick, who has a past history of illegal behavior. He is the 49ers quarterback of San Francisco. Despite the negative notoriety of her boyfriend, she tried to shine through the misdeeds and drama that unfolded from Kaepernick’s newsworthy deeds by staying focused.
