Rick Kamla was born on July 19, 1969. He is famous in the sports world for being a long tenured host on NBA TV and the lead host for “Fantasy Insider,” which has become the longest-running fantasy TV show in history.
Rick graduated from college at University of Minnesota in 1992 with a Bachelor’s Degree in History. He also minored in Speech and Communications. The minor would end up being more important in his career path than his major in History. He would not become a Historian but he would eventually became a famous sports broadcaster. He got his feet wet in sports broadcasting during his college days at the University of Minnesota when he was asked to cover the college squad, the Golden Gophers on the student radio station KUOM.
After starting out as a minor reporter, Rick’s role on NBA TV has expanded to hosting the flagship program “Gametime” which provides highlights from around the league.
