Sarah Kustok is a sports correspondent at YES Network. She has worked as sports analyst, sideline reporter, and anchor for various television stations including ESPN and CSN.
Personal
Born in the year 1981, Kustok was raised in Orlando Park in Illinois. Having grown in the Chicago suburbs she was an avid Bulls fan. She was interested in playing volleyball and basketball while in high school. She then attended the DePaul University and received both her bachelor and master’s degrees. It was during her college days that she became adept at the three point shot. She was part of the Blue Demons women’s basketball team at University. She resides in Manhattan now.
Profession
Kustok started her career in television as sports analyst at ESPN. She was also the sideline reporter covering basketball, college football, and high school football too. She was the sideline reporter for the Chicago Bulls, Cubs, White Sox, and Blackhawks when she worked at Comcast Sports Net (CSN) based in Chicago. She also served as substitute anchor at CSN. She was the fill-in sports anchor at WMAQ-TV. She has hosted the College Sports Minute and is also a freelance sports anchor and reporter at WFLD-TV. She also works for Versus. She joined the YES Network in the year 2012 when she quit working for CSN. She has been serving as sports anchor and sideline reporter at Brooklyn Nets since then.
Assignments
While at YES Network, she has had various assignments as studio host, sideline reporter, and as host of the Nets Magazine, which is a monthly issue. She has been hailed as a versatile journalist. Being a basketball player herself, she had made her a valuable addition to the Nets Basketball reporting team.
Sarah is also a music fan and her favorites include Limp Bizkit, Janis Jopling, U2, Bailey Ray, and many others. She grew up watching Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen play, and since then basketball has become a natural part of her. She has aided DePaul enter the NCAA twice while she was part of their Basketball team and the assistant coach. In 2010, her mother was killed and her father Allan Kustok was charged with the murder. In the year 2012, while she was a sideline reporter for CSN, a Blackhawks fan confessed his love for her. She later joked saying that she was preparing for a blind marriage instead of a blind date.
