Seema Mody is a very well-known television anchor and global markets reporter for CNBC. She works at the Global Headquarters for the television news network, which are located in the city of Englewood Cliffs. Mody is the first South Asian to be able to reach such heights on the ladder of success of television news anchoring. Mody was previously working at CNBC-TV 18 as an anchor and television reporter and, most recently, Mody was co-anchor for "Worldwide Exchange" based in London.
Mody is gorgeous, gracious looking, and maintains a professional presence that behooves an accomplished anchor woman but it has not always been that way. When she first started working at CNBC it was thought that her appearance did not meet the standard of her co-workers and that even her outfits were “gloomy and tedious.” But Mody was able to transform herself and is now considered to be quite glamorous. Mody was previously an anchor and reporter at CNBC-TV18 in Mumbai, India where she covered India's economic boom. She co-anchored two programs for the station, "Power Breakfast" and "After the Bell." Mody possesses a natural magnetic appeal which has helped her in the pursuit of her goals in the television news world.
Mody is an Oregon native and was born to parents of Indian descent. She has frequently stated that her Indian culture has helped her forge the path of success rather than impeding her.
Mody went to Valley Catholic high school in her home town of Beaverton. She says the women that influenced her most at that time were Sisters Juliana Monti and Denise Klaas, both teachers at her elementary school and both longtime music teachers; Sister Juliana is director of the music school. Mody said they taught her how to use her stomach to aid her singing. "It's a skill I still use today when I speak in front of millions of people on TV," she says. Seema also credits English teacher Kathy Johnson saying: "She is an English teacher extraordinaire who played a pivotal role and inspired me to look into journalism — and also taught me how to write...the seed was planted." Mody also says she wishes she could have learned more about basic finances and Wall Street while she was in school but admits that as you go through life “you learn it in some way or another.”
She later completed her higher studies and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the University of Washington. She also worked at a health care center but after completing the premed studies at the University of Washington she realized that “this may not be for me… I had to let go of my dream of practicing medicine.” Apparently, her true passion was for a different line of work. "After a couple of stops, I found my true calling in journalism," she says. Today, through persistence and hard work, she is a successful television anchor.
Mody has previously worked in different CNBC shows including Street Signs, as well as Kudlow Report and Closing Bell. Her work on The Kudlow Report was completely focused on the fields of pharmaceutical and biotechnology. She was the on air personality that brought a sense of sophistication and a touch of glamour to the otherwise staid network. Mody was also an anchor woman for the London-based CNBC branch from the year 2014 till 2015. She returned to New York a year later, where she took on such weighty topics as Bitcoin and global trade."I did not let my limited knowledge of a certain subject stop me from saying yes to a certain opportunity," she said.

Mody is quite private regarding her personal life. Nonetheless, sources have found out that she is dating her co-anchor colleague named Jeff Macke. According to sources, Macke is a long term boyfriend. Macke has been heard saying that he was smitten at the first instance of seeing the gorgeous Seema Mody. Their relationship dates back to the time when Seema was in college.
Her dreams of pursuing her career as television anchor have been always in her mind, but, this does not affect her relationship status with Macke. Previously, Mody was so much engrossed in her work that without work she was not prepared to commit to marriage. Right now, she is completely in the mind and mood, to get hitched with her partner. They both work in the headquarters of CNBC and it appears that nothing can separate them.
Seem Mody’s colleagues have always loved Seema and openly declare their admiration for her. It is said that she is always prepared to give her best and that it is her “can do spirit” that is most admired and loved by the senior executives at the network. Her director has always considered her an intelligent woman and the famous anchor Mario Bartiromo has always considered her to be the best in whatever she does.
Mody is active on Twitter as well as Facebook and has many loyal followers. She gives her latest updates on her Twitter account and stays connected by reporting the news to her fans and followers. Recently, Seema Moody has been tweeting from North Carolina, reporting via social media on the ravages of Hurricane Florence. “It’s not just the coastline...60 miles inland many homeowners…cannot return home due to excessive flooding.” Seema also reported that “Emergency responders are keeping a close eye on Neuse River which is currently 25 feet above flood stage and is expected to crest in the coming days. Til then, homeowners in this neighborhood cannot return home due to excessive flooding #HurricaneFlorence”.
She also discussed the economic problems associated with the hurricane: “Inland flooding has prevented a number of residents in this town of 21,000 from returning to work.”, and “ Scott Farms sits on 14,000 acres and says 20% of its sweet potato crop is damaged due to #Florence. Can’t harvest because soil is still wet. Longer they wait, the bigger the risk.”
When asked about what she sees as being truly important in life, Seema answers: "What matters is your dedication, passion and willingness to work hard and stand up," Mody said."There will always be an element of fear. But you can decide how much that fear will take over your life."
