Snowbird Brown, born Amora Jean Snowbird Brown on November 18, 1994, in Alaska, is best known for her role on the Discovery Channel’s reality television series, Alaskan Bush People. She is the first daughter of Billy and Ami Brown, a couple known for raising their family in remote regions of Alaska. Snowbird grew up alongside her siblings Joshua (also known as Bam Bam), Solomon, Gabriel, Noah, and Rain.
Raised in a deeply nature-connected environment, Snowbird developed a strong appreciation for the outdoors. She enjoys hunting, mountain climbing, and spending time in nature. Her independent spirit and enduring love for animals have become key elements of her public persona. Over the years, she has cared for a diverse group of pets, including cats, dogs, frogs, and notably, five Red-Eared Slider turtles. At one time, she even cared for a squirrel.
Snowbird rose to prominence through her appearances on Alaskan Bush People, a reality series chronicling the lifestyle of the Brown family as they live off-grid in the wilderness. The show emphasizes themes such as survival, self-reliance, and strong family values while showcasing the challenges of remote living. Snowbird’s down-to-earth demeanor, combined with her quiet strength, has made her a fan favorite on the show.
Despite the show's positive depiction of frontier life, the Brown family has faced controversy. In October 2016, several family members were charged with multiple counts of Permanent Fund Dividend fraud and felony theft related to claims made from 2009 to 2012, during times they allegedly were not residents of Alaska. Some charges were later resolved with plea deals, and not all members of the family were equally implicated. Snowbird herself was not individually charged in connection with the case.
Known for her authenticity and unique charm, Snowbird has cultivated a loyal fan base. As of December 2018, she had more than eleven thousand followers on Facebook, reflecting her growing popularity among viewers. Her continued presence on Alaskan Bush People has made her a recognizable figure in the realm of reality television, especially among audiences who appreciate outdoor living and off-the-grid lifestyles.
