Uriah Justus Shelton was born on March 10, 1997, in Dallas, Texas, to parents Allen and Cindy Shelton. When he was just one month old, his family relocated to Magnolia Springs, Alabama, where he spent most of his childhood. Shelton developed a strong interest in acting and modeling at the early age of seven. He and his cousin Charli enrolled in a local modeling class together, which laid the foundation for his early exposure to the entertainment industry.
During this time, he participated in a talent competition in Orlando, Florida. His performance attracted the attention of several talent agencies from Los Angeles and New York, offering him the opportunity to pursue acting professionally.
Encouraged by the opportunities arising from the talent competition, Shelton and his mother moved to Los Angeles to support his budding acting career. He started by appearing in various commercials and quickly progressed to television roles.

Uriah Shelton made his film debut in 2008 with a minor role in Lower Learning as a school kid. He went on to portray Kit in the 2010 film Alabama Moon and Tommy Wyatt in the television movie Ring of Death (2008). In the same year, he also appeared as Ben Chandler in The Nanny Express.
His other film appearances include playing a security guard in Opposite Day (2009) and a supporting role in the 2016 fantasy-action movie The Warrior’s Gate. One of his most prominent film roles came in 2011 when he portrayed the lead character Henry Matthews in the musical drama Lifted.
Outside of acting, Shelton is trained in martial arts and notably won the ATA Tae Kwon Do California State Championship in 2006. He is also musically inclined, having learned to play the piano and enjoying singing and songwriting. He wrote and performed the song “I Miss You” for Lifted.
In addition to his musical and martial arts talents, Shelton enjoys playing soccer during his leisure time. He survived a motorcycle accident in 2015 and recovered fully without long-term injury.
