Giacomo Keaton Gianniotti was born on June 19, 1989. He moved with his family from Italy at a young age and experienced childhood in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
He went to secondary school at Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts in Toronto and after that graduated from Humber College's Theater Program. He also finished an actor's residency at Norman Jewison's Canadian Film Center, in Toronto.
Career
His first involvement in the film business was a little role in a Giulio Base's feature film including Shelley Winters and Vittorio Gassman. The film was shot in the "Cinecittá" film studio in Rome. He guest starred in a scene of the Italian TV series Medicina Generale in 2010. He showed up in a few TV programs in 2013, including Beauty and the Beast and Copper in which he was featured in three scenes.
Gianniotti is currently on television playing the surgical resident, Dr. Andrew DeLuca, on the popular medical drama Grey's Anatomy.
