Once, one of his restaurant got amazingly negative review by the NY time critic Pete Wells. However, the restaurant had just begun it's operation 2 months since its formation. Anyway, the restaurant is still running and popular. So, we think, Pete should go their again and write a review.

In an interview post-review, Guy said he knows that he is not perfect and it's been only sometime opening the restaurant (Guy’s American Kitchen & Bar in Times Square). In the interview, he also said that Pete wrote like someone with an agenda because he negatively described everything. Despite the negative review by Pete, Guy said" u are welcome" to the critic when asked what would you say to the critics if you want to.

If you didn't know, the American restaurateur, chef, author game host and television personality, hosts around half a dozen shows on the Food Net Network including Big Bite, Guy off the Hook, and Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives.Amazingly, he co-owns 8 restaurants in total.

Now moving on to his physical configuration, Guy is not a tall man with the height of 5 feet and 10 inches. He is a man of his own world. He would not fit into stereotypical definition of a chief looks. He has his own style when it comes to dress, talk and act. He appreciates jeans, baggy clothing and more laid-back looks incorporated with sweatbands and jewelries. Nevertheless, his bleach blonde (white) hair and spike hairstyle tops the list. Amazingly, he is a massive foodie, but still he looks like a fit person. Moreover, he has a mixed ethnicity (Italian, Scots-Irish and English heritages).

One of the highest paid chefs in the world, his net worth is speculated to be 10 million US dollars.

Believe it or not, the New York Times actually covered mid-2010's Food Network decision to make Guy it's "Face of the Network" and reported that Guy brought an "element of rowdy, mass-market culture to American food television," and that his "prime-time shows attract more male viewers than any others on the network."

From what we have heard, Guy was interested in food since his childhood. That's why his father built him a special pretzel bicycle cart at the age of 10.

Hospitality and Management graduate from the University of Nevada, Guy needed no special help to reach where he is today apart from genuine love and support from his parents and peers. Before attending the university, he had already achieved one year experience of attaining culinary education in France. And, you ask, from where then teen Guy had money for such a trip.

Well, he earned enough money to fund the trip and his education till the age of 16 by selling pretzels and washing dishes. Thus, he was able to go to France as a Foreign Exchange student at the age of 16.

His moment of national recognition chipped-in in the year 2006 with the launch of his first television series Guys Big Bite (a show offering viewers lots of wild foods and bold flavors) in 2006. He was recruited by the organization in 2006 after he defeated more than 1000 amateur to professional contestants in the Next Food Network Star 2005.

In his NFNL audition video, he said he likes to live big, laugh hard and cook wild.

Before NFNL, he was the district manager for Lousie's Tarttoria and even before that, he was working at a Sttouffer's restaurant in Southern California.  As a district manager for Lousie's Tarttoria, he then managed six locations and also looked after training and recruiting for the restaurants.

However, he had to start from the low right after finishing his graduation. Before joining Sttouffer's, he had already earned experience of working in several restaurants jobs (including flambé caption) for years.

Amazingly, he also had funded his graduation study by his hard work. He didn't join the university right after returning from France, but worked at Red Line Inn located in Eureka California and other places.

The chef who even managed to be popular in SNL spoof has three bestselling books to his name. Details on his professional life can be extracted from various sites including Wikipedia's biography on him.
