Ashley Nicolette Frangipane was born on September 29, 1994 in Edison, New Jersey. Halsey, is the girl of an emergency clinic security watchman and vehicle dealer. She is the sister of two siblings, Dante and Sevian. Halsey started in traditional music by playing the viola, cello, and violin before grabbing the acoustic guitar at age 14. She is a 2012 alumni of Warren Hills Regional High School and quickly studied at Rhode Island School of Design before moving to junior college and dropping out.
Halsey utilized music as a restorative outlet. While performing acoustic sets, she tried out various stage names before choosing Halsey as a gesture to her original name. Halsey visited with the Koots in 2014 while making her introduction studio album collection and dating Norwegian producer Lido. That October, her ep "Room 93" dropped and charted in the Billboard Top 200. Subsequent to taking the melodies to the South by Southwest event in 2015, Halsey a co-featured a tour with Young Rising Songs in March 2015. That June she opened for Imagine Dragons on their Smoke + Mirrors Tour in North America.
In 2015, Halsey was featured on Justin Bieber's "The Feeling," with charted in the Billboard Top 40. In May 2016, she released "Tokyo Narita (Freestyle)," which former sweetheart Lido produced. The independent melody got her acknowledgment while teaming up with The Chainsmokers on "Closer," getting to be the two artists' first Billboard Hot 100 hit. The single earned Halsey Best Pop Duo/Group Performance nomination for the 59th Annual Grammy Awards.
In September 2019, Halsey performed "Time After Time" at the 2019 Emmy Awards. She electrified the audience and social media with her performance.

Halsey started dating well known American rapper, G-Eazy, in July 2017 and their on-and-off relationship was constantly overflowing with theories and gossip that G-Eazy cheated on her. Halsey is now dating Dominic Harrison, better known by his stage name, Yungblud. He's an English rock musician from South Yorkshire, England.
