Personal Life

Heather did her graduation at the University of Queensland and she did her schooling at Brisbane State High School. Soon after her graduation, she gave her debut in the journalism arena. Heather Foord is one of the best television anchor and humorous speaker, who can entertain any kind of audience. Her polished talk and funny presentations will eventually entertain the viewers and of course this was the major reason for her success. Career

Heather served as a presenter at Nine Network at Brisbane for more than 20 years time. She took in-charge of presenting the weekday version of Nine News Queensland sharing the screen with Bruce Paige till the year 2008, December. Moreover, she was the co-host of weekend news as well. From the year 2007, October 8th, Foord served as the bulletin presenter for Nine Network’s Today for 3 weeks time. At this time, she was loaded with work and also she had additional responsibilities which made her to travel between Brisbane and Sydney everyday.

Soon after completing her graduation, Heather became a part of Good Morning Australia at Breakfast TV in Network Ten prior she became the Nine News reporter. Within six months time, Heather easily and quickly switched as a news reader where she took in-charge to host the weekend program. Heather is a responsible mother of 4 children namely India, Riley, Grace and Maya. When Heather’s kids were young and little she came back to weekend News Desk in order to spend more time with her children and family. She got the major role at the bulletin desk during the year 2003 and she sustained that position till the year November 2008. Later Heather disclosed her retirement from News Desk serving the channel for 21 years time. It was announced that, Melissa Downes will take in-charge of presenting Channel Nine after the retirement of Heather in the year 2009.

In was announced that Foord will anchor the Channel Nine Brisbane’s Extra in the year 2009, January putting back Jillian Whiting. The program Extra was stopped during the end of June, while Heather was switched to the Nine News during the month of July. She served as the weekend presenter there. Besides being a journalist and news presenter at Channel Nine, Heather has been serving as a lawyer to give safe hands to cerebral palsy sufferers, which is a type of illness that has affected her nephew very badly.

During the year 2002, Foord gave her presentation in anchoring National Nine News which was a weekend bulletin. This presentation scored her world-class recognition and popularly. She tried all the possible ways to sharpen her journalism skills and of course she has been the best and most-loved television presenter now.
