Heather Hiscox is a Canadian news anchor who broadcasts CBC News Now on the CBC News Network from 6 to 10 a.m. on weekdays. She was also the host of CBC News: Morning, the network's previous flagship morning television program, absorbed into CBC News Now when the network rebranded in 2009. On January 4, 1965, Hiscox was born in a medical family in Owen Sound, Ontario. She earned a B.A. in French language and literature from the University of Toronto in 1986 and a master's degree in journalism from the University of Western Ontario in 1987. Before returning to the CBC at the network level, Hiscox worked for CFPL-TV, CBC Montreal, the Global Television Network, ASN, and CHCH in Hamilton, Ontario. From 1990 to 1991, she co-hosted a morning show with Steve Garrison on 1290 CJBK in London, Ontario, and she worked various radio shifts at London's Rock FM96 CFPL-FM in 1988–89, including afternoon drive and evenings.
