Isabela Moner was born on July 10, 2001 in Cleveland, Ohio. While she was born in Ohio, her father, Patrick is a Louisiana local while her mom, Katherine hails from Peru. Her father and mom worked as an entrepreneur and talent agent. Moner has two siblings, Jared and Gyovanni. The actress spent her initial education being self-taught from Ohio Virtual Academy. She completed high school and got into college when she was fifteen.

Her show has been translated into 30 dialects, after decades of teaching, the show is now getting a big screen treatment with Dora and the Lost City of Gold. Isabela will play a leading role in the August 2019 film.
