Jacob Pitts was born in 1979 in Weston, Connecticut. During high school, he was actively involved in theater productions and participated in every school performance. Notably, he played the role of the Mysterious Man in a student production of Into the Woods.

Stage and Television Debut

Pitts began his acting career with an appearance on the Comedy Central series Strangers with Candy. In 2000, he made his Broadway debut as Fleance in a production of Shakespeare's Macbeth. Following his stage work, he landed roles in popular television shows including Sex and the City as Sam Jones and Law & Order as John Telford. He also appeared as Johnny Malone in the series Ed.

Breakthrough Roles and Career Highlights

Jacob Pitts gained wide recognition for his role as Cooper Harris in the 2004 comedy film EuroTrip. He later portrayed Bill 'Hoosier' Smith in the 2010 HBO miniseries The Pacific, which further established his versatility as an actor. Pitts also performed in the off-Broadway play Where Do We Live at the Vineyard Theatre in 2004.

One of his most prominent television roles was that of U.S. Marshal Tim Gutterson in the critically acclaimed FX series Justified. His understated portrayal of the character was praised by critics and fans alike.
