Jamie Maggio, a seasoned sports anchor and reporter, began her professional journey after graduating with a degree in Communications from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her media career kicked off in 2000, when she worked as an Advertising Sales Assistant for Forbes Magazine. In 2001, she transitioned into the world of sports media by joining Fox Sports Net.

Roles at Fox Sports Net

From 2001 to 2008, Maggio held multiple roles at Fox Sports Net, gaining extensive behind-the-scenes experience. Her positions included Operations Assistant and Regional Feed Controller (June 2001 – January 2004), Talent Relations Coordinator (January 2004 – November 2006), and later, Production Manager (November 2006 – 2008). This diverse background laid the foundation for her on-screen work that would follow.

GoTV Networks and On-Air Breakthrough

In May 2009, Maggio joined GoTV Networks as a Talent Booker and On-Air Correspondent. During her tenure through February 2011, she produced and hosted segments for Sprint Exclusive Entertainment, focusing on both sports and entertainment content. This marked her transition to in-front-of-camera roles.

Rise with Comcast SportsNet

Maggio's breakthrough arrived as a sideline reporter and host for Comcast SportsNet, where she covered the Philadelphia 76ers. Her work included pregame, in-game, and post-game reporting, for which she earned a Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award. She also served as host for Sixer Pass and contributed to coverage on SportsNite. Her NFL and NBA expertise became widely recognized during this time.

Expanding Roles in National Sports Media

By 2015, Jamie Maggio had become affiliated with several major sports networks including Time Warner Cable SportsNet, NFL Network, Turner Sports (TBS/TNT), and CBS/Turner Sports. She has covered numerous major American sports leagues, including the NFL, NBA, NCAA Basketball, and MLB. Her roles span anchoring, reporting, hosting fantasy football segments, and sideline correspondence.
