Jane Timken is known as a politician and the current Chairwoman of the Ohio Republican Party. She is most famous for being the first woman to serve as Chair in the State of Ohio.
Jane Murphy Timken was born on November 5, 1966 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Jane graduated cum laude from Harvard College, where she got the John Harvard Scholarship for Academic Achievement and the Elizabeth Cary Agassiz Certificate of Merit. She played for the Radcliffe Rugby Football Club. She got her J.D, summa cum laude, from The American University, Washington College of Law, Washington, D.C., graduated in the top 10% of her group, and filled in as a Note and Comment Editor of The Administrative Law Journal of the American University.
Dedicated to the Republican Party and to Ohio, Jane Timken was chosen Chairman of the Ohio Republican Party on January 6, 2017. She recently filled in as Vice-Chairman of the Stark County Republican Party, where she was in charge of raising money, applicant enlistment, volunteer commitment, strategy coordination, and execution of methodology. At the 40th Republican National Convention in Tampa, Jane was a Congressional District 16 Delegate and Co-Chairman of the Sub-Committee Restoring Constitutional Government.
She started her lawful career with Black McCuskey, where she practiced common prosecution, business law, laborers' remuneration, and medicinal negligence protection. She filled in as a Magistrate and law agent to the Honorable Judge Sara Lioi in the Court of Common Pleas in Stark County, Ohio. While practicing with the Soles Law Offices, she dedicated her time to common issues, business, and development related concerns.
In August 2019, Ohio Republican Party Jane Timken asked Ohio state Rep. Candice Keller to leave her seat after the official's staggering comments about the mass shooting in Dayton, Ohio. Keller posted on Facebook on remarks that denounced "drag queen advocates," the Democratic Congress, former President Barack Obama, vulgar PC games and the disrespect of veterans for the passings of nine people and the shooter in Dayton. Her comments got under the skin of Republicans and Democrats alike. Timken's statement was, "Candice Keller’s Facebook post was shocking and utterly unjustifiable. Our nation is reeling from these senseless acts of violence and public servants should be working to bring our communities together, not promoting divisiveness.”
Jane currently lives in Stark County, Ohio with her better half W.J. Timken, Jr. Tim is the Chairman, CEO, and President of TimkenSteel. She has two children, Henry and Emma. She appreciates cooking, reading, and voyaging with her family when she has free time.
