Jason Hervey was born on April 6, 1972, in Los Angeles, California, to Alan Hervey, a retail sales manager, and Marsha Hervey, a talent agent. He has one sibling, a brother named Scott Hervey. Jason began his acting career at just four years old, appearing in over 250 commercials for prominent American brands. His commercial success led to roles in notable television shows and cameo appearances in several films, including Back to School, Pee-wee’s Big Adventure, Back to the Future, Police Academy 2, Meatballs Part II, Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie, and The Monster Squad.

Breakthrough Role in "The Wonder Years"

Jason’s television career gained momentum with his appearance in two seasons of the sitcom Diff’rent Strokes. His breakthrough came when he was cast as Wayne Arnold, the older brother of Kevin Arnold, in the critically acclaimed television series The Wonder Years. This role became his most recognized work and earned him nominations for multiple Young Artist Awards.

Transition to Producing and Business Ventures

By age 17, Jason had already moved behind the camera, creating, producing, and starring in 26 episodes of the television series Wide World of Kids. He later worked with Peter Guber, the former CEO of Sony Pictures Entertainment. Hervey co-founded Bischoff Hervey Entertainment with longtime friend and business associate Eric Bischoff. The company specializes in broadcast production, merchandising, brand integration, and licensing solutions for the entertainment industry.

Executive Role and Corporate Controversy

Hervey also held an executive position as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications at HealthSouth Corporation in Alabama. However, his tenure coincided with the corporation’s involvement in a massive accounting scandal. Following his departure, he reportedly sought $300,000 in compensation for breach of contract and reputational damage.
