Jennifer Lien is known as an American former actress. She is most famous for playing the alien Kes on the science fiction television series Star Trek: Voyager.

Background

Jennifer Lien was born on August 24, 1974 in the state of Illinois. She was the most youthful of three children. She was a talented child and joined the Illinois Theater Center at the age of 13.

Career

Lien's first TV appearance was for a bubble gum advertisement where she had the role of playing twins. Her first appearance on a TV series was as a music foundation understudy in a 1990 scene of Brewster Place, featuring Oprah Winfrey. That year she gave her voice to the English version of Baby Blood, a popular French thriller horror film.

Lien moved to New York in 1991 after she was given a role as Hannah Moore on the series Another World. She went to classes and graduated from the Professional Children's School while working on this series.

Personal Life

Lien is married to writer and movie producer Phil Hwang. Their child, Jonah was born on September 5, 2002. Upon the introduction of her child to the world, Lien resigned from acting and voice-over work however she was still credited as official producer on her husband’s 2008 film Geek Mythology.
