Joe Pera is an American comedian, writer, and actor who was born on July 24, 1989, in Buffalo, New York in the United States. Pera studied film at Ithaca College and competed in the school's stand-up competition three times. He went on to pursue a career in comedy in New York City and performed at open microphone events. Pera made his television debut when he appeared as Zero Fucks Boyd in "The Chris Gethard Show" in 2013. The show was hosted by Chris Gethard and was a call-in comedy and variety talk show. A year later he appeared as Myron in the show "New Timers". In 2014, Pera created the show called "The Pancake Breakfast Critic".
Pera went on to create the Adult Swim Infomercial called "Joe Pera Talks You to Sleep". He has also released a special on Adult Swim called "Joe Pera Helps You Find the Perfect Christmas Tree". The success of the acts has led Adult Swim to give him his own show called "Joe Pera Talks with You". He has also appeared on "Late Night with Seth Meyers" where he revealed that he made only $1,000 for his show. Pera is married and has two daughters.
