She completed her education in 2004, from Greater Atlanta Christian School. She always had a keen interest in the media industry, so she decided to move to North Carolina to earn bachelor's degree in Business Journalism and International Politics in the year 2008 from the University of North Carolina. While studying for her bachelor's degree, she also remains quite active as a cheerleader member.

Career Experience

Her career started while she was a student and studying for her Bachelor's degree, as she got associated with the Associated Press which is based in Brussels Bureau. She came into limelight after working in Bloomberg L.P., which lead her way to work with CNBC and opened several other opportunities.

She is one of the most talented American Broadcast Journalist. She is working with CNBC for past five years as a lead reporter. Along with it, she has also served as a substitute anchor for various other channels hosting different shows, which includes the Power Lunch, Squawk Box and Squawk on the Street.

In 2014, in the month of May, she got an opportunity to work as a co-anchor with Jon Fortt and Carl Quintanilla in the show Squawk Alley.

She was in the news recently because of her wedding announcement. She got married to her love of life, Jeffery Izant, in the well known Christ the King Cathedral in Atlanta. But she is still using her maiden name and refused to carry her husband's name. They both were in love when they were in college. Kayla became a journalist, whereas Jeffery is a Lawyer and works for Graufis and Co., one of the prestigious law firm.
