Kayna Whitworth is a television correspondent for ABC News. She is based out of Los Angeles, California. Kayna Logan Whitworth was born on July 4, 1982, in Aurora, Colorado. She is a graduate of Grandview High School and went on to attend Colorado State University where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in communication and media studies. Kayna Whitworth’s journalism career began a KTVZ, an NBC affiliated television station, in Bend, Oregon, when she worked as a reporter and anchor. Kanya next worked at KBOI-TV in Boise, Idaho, before moving to Tucson, Arizona where she was anchor at KOLD-TV, a CBS affiliated television station.
In December of 2012, Kanya moved to Boston, Massachusetts, to take the job of weekend anchor for WHDH channel 7 as a weekday morning anchor. Her work at WHDH attracted the attention of ABC News which hired her in 2015 to be a Los Angeles based correspondent. Kayna Whitworth began dating WHDH sports reporter Rhett Lewis while working in Boston. Rhett later took a job at the NFL Network in Los Angeles, presumably to be near Kayna. Kayna Whitworth and Rhett Lewis were married in May of 2015. The couple has a child, a boy, in August of 2017.
