Early Life and Education

Leslie Louise Bibb was born on November 17, 1974, in Bismarck, North Dakota, USA. After the death of her father in 1977, when she was just three years old, her family relocated to Richmond, Virginia. Bibb grew up with three sisters and attended Saint Gertrude High School, a private all-girls Catholic school in Richmond.

In 1990, while still in high school, Bibb was encouraged by her mother to enter a nationwide modeling search sponsored by Elite Model Management. Bibb won the competition, which led to a short modeling tour in Japan. She returned to Richmond to complete her studies and graduated in 1991.

Modeling and Early Career

After high school, Bibb briefly enrolled at the University of Virginia but left after one semester to pursue a modeling career more seriously. She moved to New York City and signed with Elite Model Management, appearing in several magazines, including FHM and Maxim. During this period, she also began studying acting at the William Esper Studio in New York, laying the groundwork for her future career in entertainment.

Acting Debut and Breakthrough

Bibb's early acting roles were in television series such as Pacific Blue (1996), Home Improvement (1996), Just Shoot Me! (1997), and Fired Up (1997). She made her film debut in the 1997 comedy Private Parts.

Her major breakthrough came in 1999 when she was cast as Brooke McQueen in the teen comedy-drama series Popular, which aired on The WB from 1999 to 2001. The role earned her a Teen Choice Award for Television Choice Actress and a nomination for a Young Hollywood Award for Exciting New Face.
