Lil Flip, full name Wesly Eric Weston Jr, was born in 1981. Lil Flip is a stage name and he is an American Rapper . He sung Game Over, Sunshine, I can do dat, The Way We Ball and Rolling on 20s of 2 Fast and Furious Soundtrack. Lil Flip became noticed when he released The Leprechaun which caught attention from DJ Screws who added this Rapper in his group known as The Screwed Up Click. DJ Screw said that he is The Freestyle King.
With the first album, Lil Flip got an instant success and he got the contract with Universal Records afterwards. The association he had with DJ screw brought respect in Texas and he was loved in South. When he signed the contract and the release of Leprechaun album, they got him more national acceptance and they heralded him to be one of the promising rapper.
In 2002, if there was no sophomore effort, the underground legend may have gone unnoticed. After two years, he returned with an expansive double disc under the name U Gotta Feel me. The album had couple of different hits: the Sunshine and Game Over (Flip) and he got the national fame that he was looking for many years. With this fame, it took only a few days for him to start a beef with T.I about the one who has to be called the King of South. He kept public with this drama and also with many mixtapes which were Freestyle Kings. In 2005, his next album was supposed to be released but Sony did not release it. The rapper stayed for sometime without a label. He released I Need Mine in 2007 as a double CD with the Asylum label. After this, the rapper released two collaborations which are All Eyez on Us with Young Noble form Outlawz group and Young Money from Gudda Gudda.
After being with Columbia records for some time, he decided to be independent and he founded his own label called Clover G records. Ahead of My Time is his fourth album and it was originally meant to be released in 2007 but it was pushed back many times until it was released in 2010. He released 2 albums to prepare Ahead of My time which are Underground Legend 2 and Respect Me.
