Marina Sirtis is a famous actress, she was born on October 24, 1981 in London. Her parents John and Despina are Greek. As for her siblings, she has one brother, Steve Sirtis. Her parents wouldn't let her begin an acting career. So, she secretly took acting lessons at the Royal Shakespeare Company, which is connected to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. After she spent a while at the theater, she moved to television work. After several roles in British television, she had her first film in 1978, it was a TV movie, called "The Thief of Baghdad".

In 1986, Marina moved to the United States. A year later, she auditioned for the role of Macha Hernandez in Star Trek: The Next Generation TV series. Eventually it was decided that Marina Sirtis will be assigned the role of Deanna Troi, while the character Macha Hernandez will be played by Denise Crosby. Sirtis played the role of Deanna Troi during the seven years that was the series. Then she did the same role in a few episodes of Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Enterprise.

Once Marina marked her steps in theatre, she began to pursue her acting career in television. She appeared in several British television series such as One Last Chance, Death Wish in which she starred with Charles Bronson, Minder & Hazel and Blind Date that starred Bruce Willis as well.

But the role that she was most famous of and had the most appraisals for, was Star Trek's "Deana Troi", the psychic role that she used to play for seven years. According to the book, commander Troi was supposed to be a four-breasted hermaphrodite as imagined by the author of the series, but the writer, "DC" Fontana, convinced him to change the character saying that she honestly believes that he will offend most women, and maybe a lot of men with this character and besides, she asked about the possibility of even doing this and how he will arrange them, she asked him if he knows how much trouble women usually face in keeping them out of the way with their traditional count, imagine double the number now. In the end, they decided to give her a standard cleavage

Personal life:

Marina married Michael Lamper on 21 June, 1992. Lamper owes Marina's friend, Anna, that she made him meet Marina for the first time. They married in a traditional Greek ceremony. Marina's husband is a guitarist.

While she was in the airport heading back to London saying goodbye to her dreams of acting career, she was called and informed that she has been hired for the role of Deanna Troi. She also starred in several television series and in several movies. Marina's net worth is reportedly said to be around 6 million dollars.
