Mark Barron

Mark Barron is known as an American football inside linebacker for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League.

Background

Mark Barron was born in Mobile, Alabama. He went to classes at St. Paul's Episcopal School in Mobile. He was a student athlete and played for the St. Paul's Saints high school football team, under the mentoring and coaching of Eddie Guth.

Mark was a versatile player and performed in multiple positions, including running back, wide receiver, and linebacker from 2004 through 2007. In his high school career, Barron had 785 rushing yards as a junior on 78 carries and added 368 receiving yards on 23 catches, scoring a total of 12 touchdowns for his squad.

As a talented senior, Barron was the MVP of the 2007 Class 5A state championship game after rushing for 1,094 yards on 122 carries with 15 touchdowns.

Career

For his college football career, Mark played at Alabama, where he was twice honored as an All-American. He was also a member of two BCS National Championship teams. 

Mark’s current pro NFL team, The Los Angeles Rams finished first in the NFC West with an 11–5 and qualified for the playoffs in 2017. They would end up losing to the Patriots in the Super Bowl during the 2018 season.
