Masiela Lusha is an Albanian-American actress, author, producer, and humanitarian who was born on October 23, 1985, in Tirana, Albania. She is the only child of Max and Daniela Lusha who fled Albania as refugees. Lusha moved with her family to Budapest, Hungary, then Vienna, Austria. When she was seven, she moved again this time to Michigan in the United States. English is Lusha's fourth language and she fluently speaks Albanian, Hungarian, and German. When she was twelve, Lusha began a career in modeling. She landed several modeling jobs and also enjoyed acting in local theatrical productions. A Hollywood agent discovered Lusha and a year later she began acting in Los Angeles, California. Lusha attended Glendale College in Southern California and University of California Los Angeles where she majored in creative writing. She made her television debut with a guest appearance on the Disney Channel television series "Lizzie McGuire".

She also published her first poetry book "Inner Thoughts". Lusha earned a name for herself as a poet and was even recognized as one of the Top Ten Talented Poets in North America. She was even publicly recognized by former U.S. President Bill Clinton. From 2005, to 2010, Lusha write four poetry books while at the same time filming the ABC sitcom "George Lopez". She began dating Ramzi Habibi in 2012 and on December 28, 2013, the couple were married. They have a son together who was born in February of 2018.
