Later Career: Milwaukee Bucks and Dallas Mavericks

Ellis continued to improve and deliver key moments for the Warriors until 2012, when he was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks. During his time with the Bucks, from 2012 to 2013, Ellis remained a consistent contributor and recorded another game-winning basket, this time against the Houston Rockets.

In July 2013, Ellis signed with the Dallas Mavericks. He made an immediate impact, posting strong performances throughout the season. In 2014, he was named Western Conference Player of the Week. His teammate Dirk Nowitzki had received the same honor the previous week. Ellis was a vital part of the Mavericks' drive to the 2014 NBA Playoffs, where the team clinched the eighth seed. Though they were eliminated in the first round, Ellis led the team in scoring during the series with an average of 20.4 points over seven games. In December 2014, he recorded a season-high performance in a win against the Chicago Bulls, further establishing his importance to the team.

Final NBA Seasons with Indiana Pacers

In July 2015, Ellis signed with the Indiana Pacers. Over the course of his time with Indiana, he served in both starting and supporting roles. Although his scoring numbers declined compared to earlier in his career, Ellis continued to contribute as a veteran guard. His final NBA season was with the Pacers in 2016–2017. As of now, Ellis is no longer active in the NBA, though he remains a well-regarded figure among basketball fans.

Personal Life and Media Presence

In 2006, Monta Ellis met his future wife, Juanika Amos, in her hometown of Memphis, Tennessee. The couple married four years later at the Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church. They have two children—a son and a daughter—and keep much of their family life private.

Ellis has maintained a limited social media presence. While there are two Twitter accounts associated with his name, only one appears to be personal, with the other focusing on basketball updates and news related to his career.
