Nicholas D’Agosto was born on April 17, 1980, in Omaha, Nebraska. He is of mixed Italian-American descent on his paternal side and was raised in a Roman Catholic household. The third of five children, Nicholas has two older brothers and two younger sisters. During his childhood, he once aspired to become a priest, reflecting the strong religious values of his upbringing.

Often known professionally as Nick D’Agosto, he began acting in 1999 and has since built a steady career across film and television.

Education and Early Career

Nick developed a passion for drama and theater at a young age, frequently participating in school plays and musicals. He honed his performing skills through improvisation classes and competitive speech events during high school. In 1998, he graduated from Creighton Preparatory School, a private institution in Omaha. He later attended Marquette University, from which he graduated with a double major in History and Theatre. While at Marquette, he also studied social justice issues, including race and poverty, during a semester in the Dominican Republic.

While still in high school, D’Agosto landed his first film role in Alexander Payne’s critically acclaimed movie Election, marking the beginning of his professional acting journey. During his college years, he appeared in the indie film Psycho Beach Party. Following graduation, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting full time and secured an agent to help manage his career.
