As the youngest of Tina Turner's two biological children, Ronnie experienced a tumultuous upbringing shaped by his parents' fame and challenges, including witnessing his mother suffer domestic abuse during his childhood.

On March 4, 2007, he married French-American singer and actress Afida Turner.
