Background

Sarah Parish was born on June 7, 1968 in Yeovil, Somerset, England.  Although Sarah was born and raised in Yeovil in Somerset, a notable appearance in a cult advertisement for Manchester-based Boddingtons Bitter in 1994 led to a series of future roles as northern women. In the commercial, she played Vera who liked nothing better than "a good rub down with chip fat".

The roles caused many to believe that she is a native of the north-west instead of being from Somerset.

Career

She has had many great roles on TV shows including The Pillars of the Earth, Peak Practice, Hearts and Bones, Cutting It, Doctor Who, Mistresses, Merlin, Atlantis, Monroe, Trollied, and W1A.

Personal Life

She has been married to James Murray since December 15, 2007. They have two children that they raise together in a loving family. She had her first born at the old age of 39. The couple brought in a little girl named Ella-Jayne Murray in May 2008. She did not mind being an old mother because she was satisfied with what she had accomplished in her life prior to motherhood.
