Biography and Early Life

Steven got his education in Parmiter’s School of Garston which is located near Watford. Since his childhood days, he is a fan of Watford F.C. He started playing cricket at an early age but he made his debut in the first-class cricket of Middlesex County Cricket Club at a tender age of 15 years only. He became the youngest cricketer to make a debut in Middlesex breaking the 1949 record of Fred Titmus of 16 year age.

International Cricket

He made his debut in International Cricket in Test match on 12th March in the year 2010. At that time he was merely 20 years old and acquired the 647 place in playing Test cricket on behalf of England. Although he is also a right -hand batsman but his playing role has been that of a bowler. His trademark bowling stylehas been termed by Cricinfoas of right-arm-fast medium which have made him gain large popularity and also controversy. The speed of his fastest delivery was recorded at around 151.9 km/hr.

2012 ICC T20 World Cup

Steven secured a place in the England team for 2012 T20 World Cup which was organized in Sri Lanka. As per the records, he had taken 1 wicket for 23 runs against Afghanistan due to which England was able to start with the victory. During the must-win match against New Zealand he performed brilliantly and took 3 wickets for 16. As a result, England got the victory by 6 wickets and ultimately made its way into the Quarterfinals.

2015 ICC Cricket World Cup

Steven made his way to the 15 member England team for Cricket World Cup of 2015. It was the first World cup of 50 over for Steven. During his debut match of world cup against Australia, he performed magnificently and took 3 wickets in a sequence. Thus he became the first player of England team who has taken a hat-trick within a match of World Cup.

Bowling Style

Steven’s bowling style has always remained in the news. Before 2013, he used to knock down the stumps of non-striker while delivering the ball. This has led to rising of controversy which took place during England tour of South Africa in 2012. Therefore, in 2013 he adjusted his run-up to solve this issue. ICC has made a new law in which if the stump of non-striker is broken while the bowler is making a delivery then it is considered no ball, also known as Finn’s Law.

Steven Finn has not yet entered the institution of marriage. Although he is in a relationship and name of his girlfriend is Rose Hall. Being a successful cricketer at such a small age, Steven has gained popularity, fame and lots of money. Currently, his total net worth is around 70,000 Euros
