Born on November 28, 1975, Sunny is originally from Gadsgen, Alabama and began modelling at age 18. She was first featured on television in commercials for The Gap. Since then, she has appeared on numerous TV series including House, Without a Trace, Desperate Housewives, Rules of Engagement, Mad Men, In Plain Sight, The Closer, and The Librarians. Her movies include The New Guy, XXX: State of the Union, Species III and Snakes on a Plane.

Sunny married fellow actor Ethan Embry on July 17, 2005. The couple was robbed at gunpoint in their driveway in November 2006. Seven years later she filed for divorce on July 25, 2012.
