Personal Life

Tony did his degree in B.A. in classics at Dartmouth College during the year 1990 and he further continued his education at Fuller Theological Seminary and got his Master of Divinity. He became a specialist in Insystematic Theology and Postmodern philosophy. Further Tony went to Princeton Theological Seminary however he discontinued after completing the coursework for Ph.D. with ABD status. During the year 2011, Tony successfully completed Ph.D. with a thesis on Ecclesiology of emerging church. Tony was appointed in the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches. Jones first marriage wasn’t successful where both of them got divorced. He married the second time and has three children. Tony lives along with his family at Minnesota. Tony loves dunk hunting and spends his free time in such activities. Yellow lab, Albert is his best companion ever and he spends most of his free time in taking Albert for hunting grouse, pheasants and ducks.

Career

Tony gave his venturous debut as an Executive Director of YouthWorks Mission right from the year 1994 – 1997. Further he worked as a youth pastor in a church at Edina in Minnesota. During the year 2005 – 2008, Tony served as a National Coordinator at The Emergent Village – which is an organization functioning in the emerging church movement. Later in the year 2008, Tony left away from the Emergent Village while his position was staged out while the organization planned to formulate more grassroots participation.

Tony Jones has penned plenty number of books on spirituality and Christian Ministry. A few of them will include The New Christians: Dispatches from the Emergent Frontier, The Sacred Way: Spiritual Practice for Everyday Life and many more. He is one of the famous and sought-after speakers in the field of emerging church, spirituality and postmodernism.

Tony is a fellow partner of an event planning and social media consulting company. During the year 2006, Tony gathered the first meeting of Jewish Emergent and Emergent Church. He related the recounted the sequence that grabbed the denigration of conservative Christians. He works as adjunct professor at Andover Newton Theological School, St. Cloud State University and Fuller Theological Seminary. Moreover he works as a Theologian in Residence at Soloman’s Porch.
