Vivian Liberto was born on April 23, 1934 in San Antonio, Texas as Vivian Dorraine Liberto. She is most famous for being the wife of country music singer and legend, Johnny Cash. She passed away on May 24, 2005 in Ventura, California.
Vivian first met Johnny Cash at a skating rink on July 18, 1951 in San Antonio, Texas. The two fell in love quickly and started on their love story. Johnny was so smitten with her that he claimed his famous song, “I Walk the Line” was inspired by her. Johnny Cash was deployed to Germany for a three year stint with the Air Force three weeks after they first met. It was really hard for the couple to endure but they felt like their love would still remain strong.
They finally got married on August 7, 1954 after Johnny Cash had returned from the Air Force. It only took one month to convince Vivian that Johnny was the one.
