Coby Bell

Coby Scott Bell was born on May 11, 1975 to famous Broadway actor Michel Bell. He was born in Orange County, California to black father and white mother. Bell completed his education with honors from San Jose State University. His road to stardom and acting began with some small roles in several shows such as 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer', 'The Parent Hood', 'Smart Guy', 'ER', etc. However, Bell came to limelight with his role of Patrick Owen in a thirteen-episode series of L.A. Doctors.

After making his debut, Coby Portrayed the role of Officer Ty Davis, Jr, in NBC's drama 'Time Watch' in 1999. His work in the show was acclaimed by the critics and he was one of the six prime actors of the show who acted in all the six seasons of the show. While the actor was working for 'Time Watch', Bell also acted in 'Safe', a famous and critically acclaimed drama written by his co-star from 'Third Watch', Anthony Ruivivar. Bell co-starred with 'Third Watch' actors' Yvonne Jung and Jason Wiles. Coby Bell earned popularity from these shows in early 2000s and did not act in other shows. However, after completing six seasons of his previously mentioned show, Bell agreed to play the comedy role of 'Glen Stallworth' in 'Half & Half' in 2005. His role was that of a firefighter from San Francisco, who happens to be attracted to the mother of a girl (Phyllis, played by actress Telma Hopkins) whom he originally dates at the start of the show. His role in the show was applauded by the critics and referenced across all the four seasons of the show. Following this, Coby co-produced and acted in a movie named 'Drifting Elegant'. After doing the actor's debut movie in 2006, he made a guest appearance in an episode named 'The Game' in 'Girlfriends', a UPN comedy series. However, this happened to the first episode of a comedy series with the same name as that of the episode, 'The Game'. In the series, Bell portrayed the character of 'Jason Pitts',  captain of Sam Diego football team, Sabers. However in 2009, the show got cancelled and reappeared in January 2011 on BET. This followed by the role of former CIA agent 'Jesse Porter' in a TV series 'Burn Notice' that was aired on USA Network. Till now, Bell has appeared on four movies ('Dream Street', 'Drifting Elegant', 'Showdown at Area 51', 'Ball Don't Lie' and 'Flowers and Weeds') and twelve TV shows.

Coby has been married to Aviss Pinkney-Bell. The couple has four kids: two pairs of twins Serrae- Jaena and Eli-Quinn. The actor also has political and social influence in America. He supported Barack Obama in elections of 2008 and is a mentor to underprivileged young people. Surprisingly, Bell is also a songwriter and musician of a band of reggae style (a Jamaica style of music). Coby is connected to people across the world through Instagram and Twitter.
