Matt Shively (full name Matthew James Shively Jr.) was born in 1990, September 15 in Hanford, California, USA. He was born in a family of loving parents and he grew up having no brothers or sisters. While growing up the boy got interested in acting when he was about 11 years old. After seeing one of his idols, Shia LaBeouf, on TV starring in a comedy series Even Stevens on Disney channel, he immediately thought that acting was something to consider as a career and since then Shively began to work and dedicate time towards fulfilling his dream. In a recent interview, Matt revealed that he is one of the biggest fans of Degrassi: The Next Generation and has been watching the show for as long as he can remember. While growing up Shively was also in a band called Connecting Channels and was one of the co-creators of it with one his best friends back home Sterling Knight, another actor.
Career
Matt began his acting career in 2007 when he landed a role in The Tomb as Nathan. This was Ulli Lommel's creation based on a horror novel with the same name as the film. The movie was not a big success and to some extent, it could be considered to be an independent film. However, it was still a great first step in Shively's career as an actor since he was noticed immediately and managed to get more work as an actor. In 2008, he began his work on television. His first job was in Nickelodeon's sitcom True Jackson, VP where he played Ryan Laserbeam who was one of the main characters. Matt was in 58 episodes of the show. In 2012, he got a couple of appearances in television series like Last Man Standing, Never Fade Away, Sidewalks Entertainment, and Bucket and Skinner's Epic Adventures. Since 2011, for two years he was working on Winx Club as a voice of Sky. He was also in an episode of Teen Wolf's third season. Matt also appeared twice in C.S.I.'s fourteenth season. In 2014, he joined the cast of Disney's Jessie and was in 3 episodes of the show. His most recent work on television is in ABC's comedy series The Real O'Neals which are set to premiere at the beginning of March this year.
In terms of his movie career, Matt Shively was in Henry Joost's Paranormal Activity 4 as one of the lead characters. The movie was a Box Office success making over 140 million dollars with a budget of 5 million.
