Born in the year 1957 in the Welwyn Garden City in the city of the United Kingdom, Nick Faldo was born to Arthur Faldo, an accountant to in a chemical company and was the only child. Even when he was young, he established himself as a good cyclist and a swimmer. His parents always encouraged him to participate in various outdoor sports. Since the time of the childhood, he turned out to be a talented athlete and putting his interest in various sports like rugby, tennis, cricket, and soccer, but later he found golf his ideal sports to throw his life in.

At the age of 10 years, Nick won the Hertfordshire County medal in the for playing in 100 meter breaststroke and got inspired  to take up golf seriously when for the first time, he watched the television coverage of Jack Nicklaus’s performance in the 1971 masters.

His professional bio starts with the year 1976 when his career took an instant take off for the success. In the year 1977, Faldo completed 8th on the European Tour and enhanced himself to reach on the 3rd in the next season. He won an event in the European tour for every season. Faldo further earned the fame of being the youngest player to play in the Ryder cup, but later his award was broken.

Faldo concluded his team Europe Ryder by serving as a captain in the year 2008. At present, he is working as the lead golf analyst on a golf channel along with working as a commentator on-air on CBS Sports. It has been recorded that at the present, he is the Britain’s richest athlete with the estimated net worth of $60 million.

Post winning constantly PGA championship in England in 1980 and 1981, Nick was able to get through the top ranked players on the European circuit in the early 80’s. After struggling in 80’s, Nick went further to improve his golf swing and enhanced his overall performances. His struggle was paid off, but at the end of in the last of the decade. In the early 90’s, Nick dominated the golfing areas and was regarded as one of the best golf player ever seen by the world.

When talking about his personal life, it’s been an interesting one too. He got married to his first wife Melanie Rockall in the year 1979, but parted away in five years and their relationship was just limited to pictures. He later married Gill Bennet, his manager’s secretary in 1986 and has three children.
