Rebbie Jackson

Born on May 29, 1950, to father Joseph Walter and mother Katherine Esther in Gary situated in Indiana, United States of America, Maureen Reillette Jackson spent most of her childhood days growing up with her nine siblings in Indiana. During her childhood days, she was the one who took care of her younger siblings. She attended the Theodore Roosevelt High School and graduated in the year 1968 from there. Rebbie as well as all her siblings got interested in music at a very young age. It was in the year 1974 that they started pursuing their singing careers while performing in several shows in Las Vegas.

In the year 1976, Rebbie started working on the television show The Jacksons along with her whole family and the show got immense popularity. It was after this show that she started taking her singing career seriously and started working as a vocalist. She was part of many popular songs which include Sonny Bono and The Emotions.

She got her first big break in the year 1984, when she went on to release her first album Centipede. Although Centipede wasn’t a big hit, but it was able to draw much attention. The album included songs written by her husband as well as her siblings. The song written by Michael Jackson for this album became the most popular song of this album and was a big hit. In the year 1986, she went on to release her second album titled Reaction. This album also received moderate success with the single Reaction as its most popular track. She went on to release another album in the year 1988 titled R U Tuff Enuff. This album also received moderate success and the most popular track of this album was Plaything. Its main track R U Tuff Enuff also became the part of the R&B singles chart.

After the release of R U Tuff Enuff, Rebbie went on to take a break of 10 years and returned in the year 1997 with the label MJJ Music, the record label owned by Michael Jackson. They then went on to release another album titled Yours Faithfully in the year 1998. This album didn’t receive much attention and wasn’t a big hit. The main track of the album was able to get a spot on the R&B Chart. Currently, she is seen performing at several shows in the United States of America and is also known to be releasing a new album.

She married her childhood sweetheart Nathaniel Brown in the year 1968. Rebbie and her husband are proud parents of three children, the eldest daughter Stacee, a son Austin and another daughter Yashi. According to some rumors, Rebbie is also known to be raising her younger sister Janet Jackson’s daughter Renee and a son named Omar. However, these rumors have not been confirmed. In the year 2009, the Jackson family suffered a major setback when Michael Jackson died due to a cardiac arrest. In the year 2013, her husband also died after a long fight with cancer. According to her biography, she has a net worth of $2.5 Million.
