Background and Age

Adrian Dunbar is the eldest of seven siblings. When asked about his relationship with his parents, he said that he was not very close to his father but his mother gave him support throughout his career. When his father was dying, he was not able to be near him. That moment haunted him throughout his life. He even thought of leaving his career of acting, but his mother wanted him to pursue his dreams. He was devastated when his father passed away and regretted the fact that they were not able to develop a close relationship before his passing.

Marriage, Wife, and Kids

Adrian got married to his wife, Anna Nygh in 1986. Anna is an Australian actress who meshed well with Adrian. They both are in the same industry so that made things easier for them to work as a couple. Anna was very understanding whenever Adrian had to be away from home because she understood the demands of his job. She did not allow herself to get caught up with being insecure because she knew that Adrian was perfecting the craft of his passion. Adrian was comfortable with having an actress for a wife because he was exposed to so many of them during his career.

Adrian had a daughter with Anna during their marriage. Anna also brought in a stepson for Adrian from a previous relationship that she was involved in. Anna and Adrian’s daughter, Madeleine was born in 1987.

When asked how he met Anna, he said that he met her when he was nominated for the BAFTA award. When asked about his relationship with his stepson, he claimed that it was as difficult because Ted was already a mature man with his own set of ideals and values. Initially, Adrian preferred that Ted would stay at his own place instead of moving in with them.

Besides Anna’s part-time career as an actress, she also concentrated on Shiatsu and holistic massage as a line of work. She was focused on physical therapy because she liked informing people about how massages could make them healthier.
