AJ Pritchard, born Alex Joseph Pritchard on November 5, 1994, in Sneyd Green, Stoke-on-Trent, England, is a British professional dancer and choreographer. He began dancing at the age of twelve and was soon partnered with fellow dancer Chloe Hewitt, who attended the same dance school. The partnership was initiated by Pritchard's parents to enhance his competitive potential in ballroom and Latin dance styles.
Together, AJ Pritchard and Chloe Hewitt achieved significant success on the competitive dance circuit. They won the National Youth Latin Championships three years consecutively, from 2012 to 2014. In addition to these achievements, the duo claimed titles as British Open Youth Champions and European Youth Latin Champions, representing the United Kingdom in numerous international competitions. Their accomplishments established them as one of the country's leading young ballroom dance couples during that period.
Pritchard rose to national prominence as a professional dancer on the BBC One series Strictly Come Dancing, a competitive dance program where celebrities are paired with professional dancers to perform ballroom and Latin dance routines. His role on the show brought him widespread recognition and showcased his choreographic talent to a broader television audience.
Beyond Strictly Come Dancing, AJ also appeared on several other British reality TV shows. He competed on Britain's Got Talent alongside Chloe Hewitt, reaching the semi-finals.
