Born in Canada, Alaina Huffman’s maiden name is Alaina Kalanj. She began her career in modeling at a young age, working internationally in Europe and Japan. However, when her family relocated to Dallas, Texas, she transitioned to acting. She pursued college courses in the United States and made the choice to settle there.

Huffman married John Henry Huffman IV on New Year’s Eve in 2003. The couple has four children together, with their first son born in May 2004.
