Education:

As for education, Allen Payne studied in Pennsauken high school which is located at Pennsauken, New Jersey. Later in his life he studied dance to pursue his interest in dancing.

Career:

He is a versatile actor who worked both in tv shows and movies. Allen started his career at the age of 23, when he first appeared in the television. It was one of those famous television shows called ‘The Cosby Show’ where Bill Cosby used to star. His character was lance Rodman and during two seasons of the show he made a number of appearances. Bill Cosby wanted to create a role model for black young generation and Allen appreciated the idea very much.

Next year, in 1991, Allen starred in ‘New jack City’ as Gee Money along with Wesley Snipes. As he was raised in Harlem, he was very much ‘into the character’ for this role. After two years, in 1993, he played a black rapper in “CB4”. But in 1994, he strikes with a lead role opposite to Jada Pinkett in “Jason’s Lyric” and this time it was a romantic storyline by which he grabbed the attention of the audiences.

After that he was starred in “The Walking Dead” in 1994. The film was not very well received but he was critically acclaimed for being true to his character. The most significant film of his career was ‘Vampire in Brooklyn’ in 1995 starring Eddie Murphy. In this film Allen’s character was a homicide detective and his co-actor was Angela Bassett.

In 2006, he acted in “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne”. It was an American sitcom television series. During his entire career, he acted in 6 television shows and 16 films including Rooftops, The Tuskegee Airmen, A Price above Rubies, Double Platinum, The Perfect Storm, 30 years to life, Commitments, Blue Hill Avenue, Playas Ball and Crossover.

Personal:

He is famous for his down to earth personality and extremely hard working effort for making a character real. He is a 5’10’’ in height and a vegan in food habit. Personally, he maintains a very low profile lifestyle. Even in this blooming social media centric world, there is very few information about his personal and social life.
